Using Zenning in Slack
Adding Zenning to your Slack
Install Zenning into your Slack workspace, authorise it, and tell it a little about your role so it can help from day one.
What this page is for
This is the quickest way to get started — you can set up Zenning entirely from Slack, no separate account required. Adding the Zenning app to your Slack workspace creates your Zenning organisation at the same time.
Installing the Zenning app
- 1
Go to app.zenning.ai/signup and choose Continue with Slack, or find Zenning in the Slack App Directory.

Start by adding Zenning to your Slack workspace. - 2
Pick the Slack workspace you want to add Zenning to.
- 3
Review the permissions Slack asks for and tap Allow to authorise Zenning.
- 4
You will be brought back into Zenning to finish a short setup.
What the permissions are for
Zenning asks for the access it needs to act as a teammate: reading messages in the channels it joins (for context), posting replies, and sending you direct messages. It only sees the channels you add it to, and you can remove it at any time.
Help Zenning get to know you
- 1
On the “Help me get to know you” step, pick your role (for example CEO or Executive, Manager, or Individual Contributor).
- 2
Choose the kind of work you do so Zenning can tailor its suggestions.
- 3
Tap Continue — Zenning uses this to make its proactive help relevant from the start.
Tip: If you signed in from Slack, your name and job title may already be filled in for you. You can change them here.
