Using Zenning in Slack

Zenning in Slack

Meet your Slack AI Employee — what it does, where to find it, and the two ways to talk to it.

What this page is for

Zenning works as a teammate right inside Slack. Once it has been added to your workspace you can message it like any colleague, @mention it in a channel, and let it work proactively in the background — spotting tasks, pulling context from your connected apps, and posting updates where your team already is.

Two ways to talk to Zenning

  1. 1

Direct message — open a DM with Zenning for private, one-on-one help, just like chatting with the web app.

  2. 2

Mention in a channel — type @Zenning in any channel it has joined. It reads the whole thread for context before replying, so you do not have to repeat yourself.

Where to find Zenning in Slack

Zenning shows up under Apps in your Slack sidebar after it is installed. You can also start typing @Zenning in any channel it has joined to bring it into the conversation.

Proactive vs on-demand

On-demand means you ask and Zenning answers. Proactive means Zenning watches the channels it has joined, notices recurring or time-sensitive work, and offers to help without being asked. You stay in control — Zenning can be removed from any channel at any time.
